A training session was held today at the Sesselacker pool, where some NVS members completed the “wet” part of the pool basic certification training. They were taught the basic elements of supervision and trained in lifeguarding. Could you get an unconscious person out of the pool?
The aim of this certification is to enable people with a certification to open the swimming pool for the NVS during various off-peak hours and to be present for supervision. The exact mode of this opening still has to be defined. However, it is clear that the more people who become certified, the more potential door openers we will have.
Congratulations to the 6 NVS members who successfully completed the basic pool course today. A CPR (resuscitation) course will follow in order to obtain the brevet.
